Overall it was fine

I was able to use their breakfast area to have my meeting.

The staff wasn't always readily available, I found the queues at reception when we arrived, made me nervous about our stay. The pool area was also packed with people. Very busy hotel.

The limited choices of the room service menu. There are no instructions on how to use the telephone so we struggled to get hold of reception and room service.

Very friendly and polite staff. Late checkin which is nice as I was running late.

The plug in the bath did not seal nicely, so the water drained out a bit while bathing. Other than that, it was a good stay for overnight travel.

A relaxing few days we make the best of our stay, so always enjoy it.

We don't do breakfast at the hotel, usually the mall or we take a drive just to explore the area.

the wife and I do this breakaway monthly and we enjoy the facilities.

Fair value, you could do alot worse.

I thought breakfast was included. Being told it's R170 per person was shocking and left a bad taste. So we left early. Also the room sleeper couch had a cigarette hole in it and there were cig butts all over our outside area. The furniture was very worn and in need of refurbishment. The bath has no plug so it's obviously not encouraged to bath. You have to ask for the screw on bath plug. Only 2 little coffee and tea packets. Could be better. Lastly our guest in the room next door was damn loud in the early hours of the morning, so I didn't sleep great.

Receptionist Liesel gave us a warm welcome and was truly helpful. A pleasure to meet such a lovely lady. Staff is 100%. All friendly and helpful. All had smiles on their faces. Well done to your staff

All in order

We was taking dinner in the restaurant and the experience there was terrible. The order was wrong and no sauce was not served with the steak. The manager give us a free breakfast but when we arrived there they advise that we must go to the lodge for breakfast. Communication not up to standard.

Very bad service!!!!

Housekeeping ladies, Candice and Dalleen's service. Nothing else

Staff are very rude. Especially Liesel. We had to move rooms 3 times because their system apparently was not updates as they kept moving us to a room with one bed only. Even though I arranged with Candice directly to check in at 11 AM we were only accommodated at 12:45. They only staff that were nice was the Housekeeping ladies and Dalleen at the bar. The Reception staff had a "don't care attitude"

Good for an overnight stop.

Clean & comfortable room. Solid fittings like only sun international know how to do. My room faced the highway which meant that passing trucks woke me up pretty early. Avoid a road facing room if you can. Nearby mall makes it rather convenient for a place along the highway.

Indifferent staff. Super tedious and long check-in process. Wasn’t told if my room rate included breakfast or not. Wasn’t advised about any restaurants or any other info on the property either. Reading all previous reviews it would appear that the staff actually spoil an otherwise cosy establishment.

Very disappointing breakfast was not included in price . Booking.com deducted the monies from my account and it was apparently R1 short payment, Golden Valley insisted I had to pay the R1 to them and R300 for breakfast

The booking in took 20 minutes, walk all the way to the room and the key did not work. The reception was very poor. When I left the reception was very friendly.

Would certainly not recommend this hotel to my friends

I was very disappointed at the condition of the upstairs section, the breakfast was a HUGH disappointment certainly not worth R150.00 . This is beside the fact the fact that when I phoned to confirm my booking I was told that the hotel was full. But later told again that there is a room available.
